Take a float which converts the fluid level into displacement.This is a simple type of hydro pneumatic sensor. In hydrometers, specific gravity is converted into displacement. Hydrometer uses the depth of immersion as a means for detecting variations in specific gravity of the supporting liquid.Simple float and hydrometers are atatic type of hydro pneumatic sensors. Orifice, venturi, pitot tube and vanes belongs to dynamic type of hydro pneumatic sensors. For flow measurement and calibration, we use orifices and venturies. Pitot tube is used to determine the pressure resulting from total flow-rate. Vanes are used to sense fluid flow.
